About Mangaladevi Temple
This temple is built in the 9th century by Kundavarma of Ahepa Dynasty. Myth is that, 2 monks who had come from Nepal advised the king to dedicate the land here for Mangaladevi and thus sanctify his kingdom.
The Navrathri festival here is celebrated with full gusto by performing grand ‘poojas’. On the seventh day, Goddess Sharadamba is worshipped and on subsequent day, the goddess Mangaladevi is worshipped as Maarikamba.
Morning: 6.00 AM to 10.00 AM, afternoon: 12.00 PM to 1.00 PM and evening: 4.00 PM to 8.30 PM (Fridays till 9.00 PM).
