About Marina Beach

This natural urban beach is the largest of its kind in India and second largest in the world. It extends over 13 kilometers in length. On an average 30,000 people visit this beach on weekdays and around 50,000 on weekends, making it one of the most visited beaches. Due to unpredictable and strong undercurrents swimming is prohibited here . This might not be a peaceful beach but is quite happening place to be.

You can also find monuments of famous personalities, freedom fighters and scholars at the junction of the pathway stand. There is also an aquarium near the beach which houses large collection of fresh water and tropical fishes.
