Stretching for 7 km along the coastline of the magnificent Arabian Sea, it is a popular vacation spot amongst the locals and the tourists alike. Located adjacent to Marina beach, this beach is popularly known as ‘Bessei’ among the locals and named after the then Governor of Madras Edward Elliot (1803-1820). Located at a place where the River Nethravathi and Arabian Sea meet, this is one of the popular beaches in Mangalore. ‘Rudra Shile’, a collection of large rocks is the major tourist attraction here.
