About Mandya

Mandya is located on the south of Mysore district of Hassan. Mandya gets its importance from its sugar factory which was started with a capital of 20 lakhs that was considerably a huge amount those days. Currently, it is one of the biggest and famous sugar factory in India. Mandya has lot of places to visit that attract travelers especially temples like Janardhanaswami temple that holds the idol of Shanka and Chakra which is flanked by Goddess Shridevi and Bhudevi on either of the sides. Every year people from all over the world come here to participate in the car festival which is held between April and May.
